We knew right away that our relationship was something special.
On our fourth date, Holda slyly lured Bryce into meeting her whole family by saying she wanted to have her favorite tacos for dinner one Thursday night. After we got in the car, Holda revealed her favorite tacos were served from a food truck 30 minutes away from home, but just down the road from her parents' house in Katy - where half of her extended family waited to ambush Bryce with all the questions you could fathom for their beloved Holdita's new love interest.
Less than a month later, Bryce told Holda he hoped their relationship was exclusive. Holda said, "If you want me to be your girlfriend, you have to ask." So Bryce asked, "Will you be my girlfriend?" To which Holda responded, "No, I mean you have to aaassk... hire a mariachi band, write my name in the sky, or at least write me a poem and take me on a nice date." So the next weekend, Bryce took Holda out for a nice dinner and cocktails and asked her to be his girlfriend with a poem he wrote in Spanglish.
Bryce knew he had fallen in love pretty soon after that. To test the waters, he told Holda he was crazy about her. Holda replied, "Don't be crazy about me. I'm the crazy one. I need you to be sane about me." Soon enough, we both confessed our love for each other amidst a warm spring rain in a lavender field in Luling, Texas.
Right before Bryce took a knee for Holda on February 3, 2025, he said, "I'm about to do the sanest thing I've ever done."
Sharing a love for hosting fun parties but also having no need to delay our marriage, we decided to throw a big reception at The Juliana in The Heights on October 17, 2025, but got married on March 30, 2025, in a small intimate ceremony at the Houston Arboretum. We hope you will join us as our dear friends and family to celebrate our union with food, drinks, games, dancing, and other treats.
